Optional payment visibility setting
One cart. Two payment paths.
PaySelect adds a payment discount button alongside your store’s standard checkout button. Here is how the optional visibility setting works in a bank transfer example.

Standard checkout
Customers use your usual “Check out” button. Bank transfer is hidden in this flow when you enable the visibility setting. If it is your store’s only payment method, it remains available so customers can complete their order.
Customers continue with your standard payment options. -
PaySelect bank transfer button
Customers select bank transfer in the cart using the PaySelect button. Your configured discount applies, and card payment is hidden in this flow.

Selecting bank transfer only after entering standard checkout does not activate the PaySelect discount. Customers need to start with the PaySelect button in the cart.
Button labels and discount rates are customizable. Payment method visibility is optional; the example shows it enabled.

Set the discount in the app. Style the button in your theme.
Follow three steps to configure the payment discount, choose how it appears at checkout and customize the cart button.
Define your payment discount.
Open PaySelect in Shopify admin and choose the payment method you want to offer a discount for.
- Select an eligible payment method already configured in your Shopify store.
- Choose a percentage or fixed-amount discount and enter its value.
- Set a minimum cart amount if you want to limit when the discounted button appears.
- Minimum amount: 0
- No minimum cart threshold. The button is not restricted by cart amount.
- Example minimum: $100 USD
- Below $100: button hidden. At $100 or above: button shown.
Use Save in the top-right corner of the app to keep your changes.
Choose the checkout behavior.
Turn on “Offer this method only with a discount” if you want to keep the selected method within the PaySelect discount flow.
- Standard checkout: the associated payment method is hidden when this option is enabled.
- PaySelect button: customers continue with the selected payment method and your configured discount.
- Choose whether product, order and shipping discounts can combine with the PaySelect discount.
How discount combinations work
Enable the discount categories you want to combine. At most one product discount applies per eligible item; eligible order discounts can combine with PaySelect, and the highest eligible shipping discount applies.
Save the visibility and discount combination settings in the app.
Customize the cart button in your theme.
In the PaySelect cart button card, select your theme and click “Edit in theme”. This opens the app embed settings in Shopify’s theme editor.
- Check that the Discounted payment button app embed is enabled.
- Edit the button text, choose its position before or after checkout and adjust its width, spacing and appearance.
- Preview the cart and confirm that the button fits your theme and payment offer.
Use dynamic text in your button label
Use {discount} for the current discount and {method} for the selected payment method. Leave the label blank to use the translated default.

Already use a cart consent checkbox?
The theme settings can connect PaySelect to your existing consent checkbox. Customers then need to accept it before using the discounted button. Contact us if you need help configuring this connection.
Click Save in the theme editor. Changes to your published theme become visible; if you are working on a draft theme, publish it when ready.

Which payment methods can I use with PaySelect?
PaySelect can be configured for Bank Transfer, Cash on Delivery and other eligible payment methods already available in your Shopify store.
Does PaySelect collect or process payments?
No. PaySelect does not collect payments. It works with the payment methods already configured in your store and carries the customer’s discounted payment preference from cart to checkout.
Can I create both percentage and fixed discounts?
Yes. You can create percentage-based or fixed-amount discounts based on the eligible payment preference.
Can I set a minimum cart amount?
Yes. Set a minimum cart amount for Bank Transfer, Cash on Delivery and other supported payment methods. For example, a Bank Transfer discount can be available only on orders of $100 or more.
What happens when a customer uses the regular checkout button?
PaySelect discounts apply to checkout flows started with the PaySelect button in the cart. If a customer uses the regular checkout button, the PaySelect discount does not apply. You can hide the associated payment methods, such as Bank Transfer and Cash on Delivery, in that flow to prevent customers from selecting them without the discount.
Which languages does PaySelect support?
PaySelect supports English and Turkish for merchant and storefront requirements.
Can I track orders created with a PaySelect discount?
Yes. PaySelect provides an order view for the orders created through its discounted payment flow.
