Do we always need a custom app?

No. We first evaluate whether a reliable existing app can solve the need with less cost and maintenance. Custom work is recommended when the workflow, differentiation or operational value justifies it.

Is Shopify Plus required?

Not for every custom app. Many admin, storefront and integration use cases work on non-Plus plans. Some checkout capabilities and extension points are Shopify Plus only; we clarify this during discovery.

Who owns the custom application?

Ownership, source-code access, hosting and licensing are defined clearly in the project scope before development begins.

Does a custom app require hosting and maintenance?

Most custom apps need a secure hosted environment, monitoring and periodic maintenance. We include these operational requirements in the solution plan.

How long does custom development take?

The timeline depends on extension points, integrations, UI, data complexity and testing requirements. We define a staged first release after discovery.
